54 new patients admitted to hospital in 24 hours

54 new Covid-19 patients have been hospitalized in the Rhône in the last 24 hours, which has led to the number of hospitalized patients to 913 this Thursday 21 January. That is 38 less than the day before. The intensive care unit admitted 8 new patients within 24 hours. This Thursday, 126 people were supported in these services (-1 in the last 24 hours).

15 deaths in the last 24 hours

With 15 new deaths, the number of patients who have died in hospitals since the epidemic began on March 1 is 2081 people. Since that date, 9693 patients have returned home (+71 between Wednesday and Thursday).

The incidence is still high: 220.2 per 100,000 inhabitants in the Rhône and 211.7 per 100,000 in the Metropolis, for the rolling week of 13 to 18 January. The positivity is 8.2%.

Just for Wednesday, 3,603 people were vaccinated in the ward, then 934 in nursing homes. Rhône alone represents 25% of regional vaccination. By January 20, 77,667 people had been vaccinated throughout the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, which has around 8 million inhabitants.
