Cybercriminals are taking advantage of the excitement surrounding the upcoming battle royale game to flood the internet with fake PUBG download links that will almost certainly install malware on your device.
Since the first teaser for the India-only PUBG-remake was released, Battlegrounds Mobile India has become the most anticipated smartphone game in India.
Since game developer Krafton made the official announcement last week, various links claiming to give Battlegrounds Mobile India APKs have been circulating.

These APKs and links are false, and if downloaded, they could pose a serious security risk to your device.
Krafton has yet to officially launch the game, which will only be possible once the title’s pre-registration opens, which should happen in the coming weeks.
Until then, any page attempting to persuade you to download Battlegrounds Mobile India, or its “early-access” version, is almost certainly malicious.
These malicious apps have the potential to steal confidential information from your phone or, worse, make it unusable.
The game will be available on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store or on the official website for download.
Those are the only official platforms where users can download the game.
In India, Krafton has announced the game, but no release date has been set.

According to a new post on gaming social media accounts, it could be released in June of this year.
It is known, however, that the game will be available for pre-registration in India prior to its release.
The pre-registration period could indicate when the game will be released officially.
