England Star Raheem Sterling Misses Side’s Crucial Win Over Senegal Amidst Armed Burglary At His Surrey Mansion

Raheem Sterling is under the scanner for the wrong reason. This time, his Surrey mansion was attacked by armed bandits with his partner and young children present inside. This forced the England star to take flight from Qatar and be by his family’s side amidst England’s 3-0 win over Senegal.

This appears to be the reason for his omission from the squad in their last 16 all-important ties. It is all the more serious with the family is up against the armed intruders in the house break. Sterling was left ashen after the break-in at his spacious mansion in Cobham, and will be by his family’s side to play the sheet anchor role.

Sterling was present in scoring for his side, one against Iran in the opening tie. The Chelsea star had already left for his heavenly abode, gated property in Cobham on a Saturday night. The police swung into action over the weekend and were patrolling the sprawling estate late into Sunday night.

This has prompted other England stars to bolster their homes and consider fortifying their protection in wake of a string of thefts in their homes.
