The President of the Alert Section
However, she warns against the low level of blood reserves in France: “This beautiful outpouring of generosity must never stop in such a good way, the sick trust us.
I am sending a warning signal for donors to mobilize to replenish stocks, reduced by the Covid-19 crisis, because the situation is worrying.
Blood levels in France are at their lowest, and I would like to reiterate the importance of donating blood, because the consumption of blood products is increasing by 29% per year, and this trend continues to develop. We must be vigilant, at the moment no substitute products can replace blood ”.
With the health context, people who have presented symptoms of Covid have to wait 28 days after they have disappeared to donate blood.
