Burgundy-Franche-Comté receives more than 14,000 doses of vaccines from Moderna this week. The region, which is among those most affected by the epidemic, is one of the four priority recipients chosen by the Ministry of Solidarity and Health.
Besançon and Dijon CHU, as well as the Lons-le-Saunier hospital center, will be supplied with vaccines from the Moderna company during the week, and through them the vaccination centers will now open in the Doubs, Côte-D’Or and Jura wards. These hospitals, which will each receive 4,800 doses of vaccines, are on the list of twelve companies that were announced yesterday by the Ministry of Solidarity and Health as the first recipients of these deliveries.
The allocation of these vaccine doses is in addition to the delivery of more than 30,000 doses of the Pfizer BioNTech vaccine that will take place this week, bringing the vaccine doses available in Burgundy-Franche-Comté to more than 100,000 to promote vaccination upscaling in all departments in the region. According to the Federation of Pharmaceutical Syndicates of France, 9 out of 10 pharmacists will also be ready to be vaccinated against Covid-19.
