File Explorer, one of Windows 10’s oldest tools, is getting a makeover. In the most recent Windows 10 test build, some new icons were discovered in File Explorer. Recycle Bin, Document Folders, and new disk driver icons are all on the list.
“Several changes, such as the orientation of the folder icons and the default file type icons, have been made for greater consistency across Microsoft products that show files. Notably, the top-level user folders such as Desktop, Documents, Downloads, and Pictures have a new design that should make it a little easier to tell them apart at a glance. And yes, the Recycle Bin icon has also been updated!”, as stated in Microsoft’s blog.

While this is not a significant improvement to the operating system as a whole, it is an example of Microsoft’s modernization efforts.
