Rhône. These lyonnaises are for the benefit of women suffering from endometriosis

Endoziwig.com is an individual and free health platform that aims to facilitate and shorten the care of women with endometriosis. It was performed by Ziwig Health, PME in Lyon 3e, in collaboration with many national experts on the disease. The platform, presented this Thursday, is operational. It is based on artificial intelligence. It aims to help diagnose this gynecological disease which can be the cause of intense and deactivating pain, but not only.

A major effort “for the economy and health”

For if the drastic reduction in the time of diagnosis is a major issue, the democratization of access to care in the territory is another. “Ziwig enables the initiation of the care path for patients suffering from endometriosis, no matter where they live in France”, emphasizes Professor Lyonnais François Golfier, and provokes a great effort “for the health economy”.

“A digital revolution”

While it takes on average between 7 and 10 years before a diagnosis of endometriosis is made, Ziwig intends to reduce this time to 10 weeks. A “digital revolution” that will make it possible to orient patients towards the right experts, but also offer them, if they wish, coaching and personal solutions.

The app, developed with private funds, required three years of research and development, which resulted in three patents. Access will also be free for healthcare professionals. The platform will offer tailor-made solution packages that will be charged and that can be partially supported by mutual; discussions are said to be ongoing.
