students and teachers at the convention

Lola is on her third covid test, but the stress of the result is present every time. “It was a positive case in my class: if everyone is screened, it will have more impact,” recalls this 2nd-year student in the styling pattern at SupdeMod School (2nd).

From 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday, January 25, the 230 students were invited to be tested in the school, as well as the teaching staff. “There was a double reason why this screening was organized,” said Jamal Hammouch, director of the establishment. On the one hand, avoid all risks of the virus spreading, especially with the English variant. On the other hand, let the students return to their families with peace of mind during the February holidays ”.

“It was important for us to act in relation to the crisis”

The results of this antigen test campaign are given anonymously. “It’s completely free,” the director recalls. It was important for us to position ourselves in relation to the crisis and to act, either for the students’ health, as well as for the peace of the school ”.

For this first screening campaign, about fifty students have registered, others come all day. “I also do it to protect and reassure my parents,” testifies Mathieu, a student in the same class as Lola.

A compromised fashion show, two major creative projects underway

Despite the crisis and half of the distance learning courses, students can continue to work on their creative projects. “This allows them to escape, to do something concrete despite the completely unstable health situation,” said Jamal Hammouch.

Although the big fashion show at the end of the year has been compromised, the projects are maintained with the Bocuse Institute or even the Olympics. “Compared to other students, I think we have nothing to complain about,” says Lola. Fifteen minutes have passed, it’s a relief: both students are negative.
