Meta Platforms Inc FB.O reported that it was working on restoring Instagram after thousands of users issued complaints about accessing the application.
More than 6,600 users faced issues with Instagram on Downdetector.com, which collates status reports on outages from sources, including user-submitted errors. As per the website, 84% of reports indicated troubles accessing the mobile application.
“We’re aware that some people have trouble accessing Instagram,” Meta remarked.
The Instagram outage reportedly began at 9.20 PM on May 26 and was fixed by 2.20 AM on May 27, reveals Downdetector. Although Meta has assured us that the outage has been resolved now.
