It has been declared that the Jalpaiguri Vande Bharat Express will begin rolling from January 1 2023. The high-speed train will ply six days a week, except for Wednesdays. It will take 75 hours to travel the 600 mile trip of Howrah to Jalpaiguri. Passengers travelling to New Jalpaiguri can make reservations online using the Passenger Reservation System (PRS). This iconic train has a tatkal quota.
Train Booking Number 22301, the Howrah-new Jalpaiguri Express will be accessible on the PRS and Internet on Dec 30 2022. The all new gleaming train will reduce travel time by 3 hours in comparison to other trains plying on the same route. As per information available, there are 14 trains chugging on this route. They complete the 564Km track in roughly 10.45 hours at a stretch with three stops during its journey.
The three stops are Bolpur (Shantiniketan), Malda Town and Barsoi. The 78 chairs in each chair car will be separated into 3 rows. The passengers are in for a pleasant surprise, with specially designed chairs slated to be a major draw.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged of the train on its maiden run via video conference since he needed to get to Ahmedabad for the funeral of his mother Heeraben, who died this morning.
