WhatsApp, the popular encrypted messaging app, is constantly developing new features and improving existing ones to make them more useful to users.
According to a new leak, the company is now introducing support for previewing voice notes before sending them to users on WhatsApp for iOS.
The latest feature was discovered by WABetaInfo, a well-known WhatsApp feature leaker, and comes as the chat service is currently testing a feature that allows users to play voice notes at different speeds.

According to reports, this new feature would allow you to record a voice note and then listen to it before sending it.
Reviewing voice notes is a function that could be useful, particularly given the voice note button’s unfortunate position in the chat app.
According to WABetaInfo, the company will add a new “Review” button that will enable users to listen in and confirm that the voice note contains only the content intended before sending it.
If there is a problem with the voice note or there was a disruption, you can simply discard it and start over with the recording and analysis process.

There is no official release date for the feature, according to WABetaInfo, but it should be available for both iOS and Android when it is ready.

Users on both iOS and Android can currently check their voice notes using a simple workaround: start recording a voice note and swipe up from the bottom of the screen to go to the recent task switcher when you want to stop recording.
When you return to your chat, a preview of your voice note should be waiting for you.
However, this is untrustworthy; an official review option is more reliable, and we hope to see it published in the near future.
