Cloudflare Witnessing Outage, Causing Problems in Various Popular Services

Cloudflare, an America-based content delivery network, is witnessing an outage, revealing a Twitter post.

“The Cloudflare team is aware of the current service issues and is working to resolve as quickly as possible,” Cloudflare tweeted.

The Cloudflare technology “powers numerous other sites and services across the internet and the outage appears to be affecting a range of different sites,” as per The Verge.

As per Downdetector, among the popular services that the outage impacts are Shopify, Discord, Fitbit, Grindr, and Peleton.

“Internet machine broke, our team is turning it on and off again, so it should be up very soon!” Discord tweeted.

Other popular services impacted are DoorDash, Omegle, Crunchyroll, Feedly, and NordVPN. In addition, Zerodha, Medium.com, Buffer, iSpirit, Upstox, and Social Blade also informed that they faced problems.

The problems are likely to have begun around 2:30 AM ET. Cloudflare informed that as of 3:20 AM ET, “a fix is being implemented”

As per Cloudflare, it has launched a fix and is not regulating the results. TechCrunch reported that various businesses are confirming that they are coming online now.

As per The Verge, the issues are most challenging if you are a user of Cloudflare’s own DNS lookup service.

The June 21 issue is not the first time Cloudflare has had an outage. Similar problems were witnessed by the delivery network in July and August 2020.
